By the end of his first year at Brown, the men called him "El Gaucho" (a reference to a certain ambiguous musical proclivity), and the women called him "The Giraffe" (a reference to the inordinate amount of time he spent in the library, reaching high into the stacks). By the end of his second year, the men called him "Snowy" (a reference to a certain mid-western skiing technique), and the women called him "The Stud" (a reference to the inordinate amount of time he spent studying in the library). By the end of his third year, Mike moved off campus. No one called him much of anything anymore.
